Recent Work
John Balistreri received his MFA from Kent State University. His international National shows include: Ceramic International Exhibition Zanesville Art Center, Ohio. The Scripps Invitational, Claremont CA. The Great Lakes Annual Ceramic Show, Lill Street Gallery, Chicago. The NCECA national juried show, The Frederick R. Wiseman Art Museum, Minneapolis, and the Inaugural show at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City. Recent articles include Ceramics: Art and Perception, Ceramics Monthly, American Craft and American Ceramics. Balistreri's work is included in public and private collections throughout the United States and is represented by the Sherry Leedy Gallery in Kansas City.

TEA TIME is meant to be a half hour presentation where we will be inviting faculty from around the school and university to come and give short slide talks while having tea and donut holes. It is supposed to be a nice break at the end of the week where students and faculty can relax and exchange ideas while having a bit of tea and sugar!

Matthew Kolodziej, artist and co-curator of SMALL MONUMENTS
Wendy Miller, artist and adjunct professor, Assumption College, Worcester
and others
Matthew Kolodziej is an artist and assistant professor in the Department of Painting and Drawing, Myer School of Art, University of Akron. He has exhibited in noted museums and galleries in Chicago; Providence; Boston, and Yorkshire, England. Recent exhibition venues include the RISD Museum of Art, Rose Art Museum, Brandeis University and The University of Leeds, England. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship Research and Painting Grant and RI State Council for the Arts Painting Fellowship.
Wendy Miller is an artist and adjunct professor art at Assumption College in Worcester, MA. Ms Miller has also taught at Amherst College and Yale University. Best known as a photographer, with her participation in SMALL MONUMENTS, Ms. Miller is showing for the first time publicly a new body of text based work derived from obituaries culled from newspapers in her native Texas. Ms. Miller received her Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from Yale University in 1992 and currently resides in Northfield, MA.

Small format paintings and drawings that examine the relationship between monuments and private space invite reflection on the influence of scale in assessing the concept of public art.
