Shaun Gentry, a BGSU Digital Arts alumnus, will be conducting a hands-on workshop focusing on human anatomy, the figure, proportion and pose.
This workshop will teach students the basics of armature construction and then focus on building up the muscles over this armature. The figure each student will create will stand approximately 14 inches tall.
This is an excellent workshop for students studying sculpture, 3D character animation, figure drawing, and any other art form dealing with the figure.
Open to the University community.

Portfolio Review

Admission to Bowling Green State University as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree candidate, requires both admission to the University (university application) and approval to the School of Art through a portfolio review. While it is not necessary to be fully accepted by the University at the time you schedule your portfolio review, it is recommended that your undergraduate application be on file when you come for your review.
(This is NOT a National Portfolio Days event - This is an official review of art portfolios for application to the School of Art)

Visiting Animator Lecture & Workshop: BlueSky Studios and BGSU Alumni Matt Simmons & Aaron Halifax

BGSU Alumni Matt Simmons and Aaron Halifax will be presenting the work they have been doing on the movie Robots (to be released March 11). Both Matt and Aaron received their degrees in Digital Arts from BGSU School of Art and have been working as animators at Blue Sky (the makers of Ice Age). They will discussing how to best prepare for careers in the animation industry and their experiences working at Blue Sky Studios.
