Visiting Art Historian Paul Greenhalgh will give a lecture on Art Nouveau today at 2:30 in rm 1101. Paul is the current president of NSCAD University and the former Head of Research at the Victorian and Albert Musuem in London and was responsible for the blockbuster art nouveau show in the mid 90's. Please come and bring your students. He will be speaking again this evening at 9pm in rm 204.

ART Talks presents... Dr. Don Bacigalupi: Whats New?: A Museum Directors Perspective

Prior to joining the Toledo Museum of Art in 2003 Don Bacigalupi was Executive Director at the San Diego Museum of Art, and Director and Chief Curator at the Blaffer Gallery, the Art Museum of the University of Houston. He has also taught art history at the Universities of Texas and Houston, and was Curator of Contemporary Art at the San Antonio Museum of Art. His Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin focused on post-War American art, popular culture and critical theory. Considering himself foremost an educator, he greatly values opportunities that museums have to provide meaningful and inspirational interactions between artworks and individuals. This passion has resulted in exhibitions addressing aesthetic, social, political, and historical issues and award-winning educational outreach programs, serving inner-city youth. He is a firm believer in the life-changing powers of art.

Visiting Artist Jon Swindler give a presentation on his work.

Printmaking studios
Jon Swindler will conduct a mixed media demonstration (including intaglio, relief, and lithographic methods) in the Printmaking studios.
Jon received his MFA from Southern Illinois University in 2003 and currently teaches printmaking and drawing at Wright State University in Dayton, OH.

Portfolio Review

Admission to Bowling Green State University as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree candidate, requires both admission to the University (university application) and approval to the School of Art through a portfolio review. While it is not necessary to be fully accepted by the University at the time you schedule your portfolio review, it is recommended that your undergraduate application be on file when you come for your review.
