Admission to Bowling Green State University as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree candidate, requires both admission to the University (university application) and approval to the School of Art through a portfolio review. While it is not necessary to be fully accepted by the University at the time you schedule your portfolio review, it is recommended that your undergraduate application be on file when you come for your review.

(This is NOT a National Portfolio Days event - This is an official review of art portfolios for application to the School of Art)

Please read and understand the policies and procedures regarding School of Art portfolio reviews before registering for this review.

Visiting Artist: Ceramic Artist, Paul McMullan

November 18, 2004

Where: Fine Arts Center - Room 204

Fine Arts Center - Room 204

Demo: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Slide Lecture: 9:00 pm

The Clay Club is proud to announce visiting ceramic artist Paul McMullan, who teaches at Siena Heights University. Paul's sculptures and tiles comment on contemporary American life through forms appropriated from "found," commercially-produced molds and drawn images based on clip art. He combines images intuitively and is influenced by Surrealism and the musical compositions of John Cage. Paul's work is featured in the current issue of the international publication _Ceramics Art and Perception_ in an article by Peter J. Barr titled "Paul McMullan In the Fullness of Time."

Paul will demonstrate his working process from 10am to 5pm and will deliver a slide lecture on his work at 9pm in room 204, Fine Arts Center. All events are free and open to the public.
