Where: 204 Fine Arts Center
Time: 7:00 PM
Game Designer, Maury Mountain will be visiting Bowling Green this weekend!
Maury is a senior artist with epic games and has worked on Gears of War 1-3, Unreal Tournament 3, Unreal Championship 2 and Shadow Complex and has developed everything from characters, to weapons to vehicles and creatures.
He will be giving a talk about getting into the industry, networking, and just generally being awesome.
The talk will be followed by a workshop covering several stages of video game production in an industry environment!
The workshop will be Saturday at 10:00 am in the PC lab in the Wolfe Center room 246.
Also, for anyone who would like to have some time to show their work to Maury and get him all to themselves for a little while, he has offered to do professional portfolio reviews to help students get their work and their presentation to an industry level. Reviews will be on Saturday after the workshop. Even if you don''t have a full portfolio to show, Maury has also indicated he would love to casually look at any work students want to show, so stop by Saturday evening and show him your stuff!
For the Workshop and professional reviews, there will be sign up sheets in both the mac and pc labs in the Wolfe Center room 244 and 246 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please put your name down so we know how much room we will have and to make sure you get a block of time with Maury!
