Hunter Grant - Lecture

Hunter Grant is a Professional Animator and BGSU Alumni working in the Industry for 8 years. He has worked at 3DO, EA, Interplay, Point of View, Omation and is currently working for Blizzard Entertainment. Some titles he has worked on are to are Command & Conquer: Generals, Barnyard the Movie, World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade, and Starcraft II. Other than that he is a pretty cool guy.
Hunter will be going over how he got into the industry, offer advice, and talk about the industry.

The First Year Program at Bowling Green State University will host this collaborative art making event on November 18th, 2010.
Join us for a night of investigating various themes via prompted text messages. Students will visually interpret the text with photography, video, performance, sound, etc as we collectively document our work on Facebook with quick responses to prompts given every 15-20 minutes. As the work begins to accumulate, patterns emerge, sometimes simultaneously, sometimes as an echo or ripple effect.
HOW IT WORKS:
- On Thursday November 18th from 7-9pm, Art Professors Michael Arrigo and Anthony Fontana will post prompts on the wall of the "(a)R(t)SVP" Facebook group page
- Students (of any kind) are asked to respond to the prompts with art (of any kind!). Collaboration among students is HIGHLY encouraged!
- Students upload their works or links to their work on the "(a)R(t)SVP" Facebook group page
(Students DO NOT need to attend the event in the Arts Village... However Michael Arrigo, Anthony Fontana, and technical assistants will be set up there streaming video and assisting students with work.

Visiting Artist Crystal Wagner

Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Crystal Wagner will present a public lecture on her work on Nov. 2nd. Also, from Monday-Friday (11/1-11/5) 10:30am-6pm, Crystal will be working in the Printmaking studio to create a print installation. Students will assist with printing, cutting paper elements, and installing the work in the gallery foyer. The public is invited to watch the progression of the installation.
