METAPHOR AND IRONY 2: Frantisek TroesterAnd Contemporary Czech Theatre Design

Where: Willard Wankelman Gallery

This exhibit illustrates the vibrancy of Czech culture as manifested in the work of the countrys best and most active theatre designers. Co-curated by Joseph Brandesky, Professor of Theatre at OSU-Lima and Helena Albertova, Vice-director of the Theatre Institute in Prague, the media include scene designs, renderings, models, costumes and installations by Helena Any~ova, Jan Duaek, Marie Frankova, Karel Glogr, Dana Havova, Viktor Kronbauer, Jaroslav Malina, David Marek, Petr Matasek, Marta Roszkopfova, KateYina `tefkova, Jan `tpanek, Petra Goldflamova `ttinova, Egon Tobiaa, Frantiaek Troester, Jana ZboYilova, Ivo Zidek, and Sylva Zimula Hanakova. Presented by Bowling Green State University Fine Arts Center Galleries and the University of Toledo Department of Theatre & Film in a partnership for the arts. Co-sponsored by the BGSU School of Art and Theatre Department, and the University of Toledo, with support from the Ohio Arts Council and the BGSU Ethnic Cultural Arts Program. Gallery Talk: Joseph Brandesky, Co-Curator, Metaphor and Irony 2 Tuesday, September 14, 7 pm, followed by a reception in the Bryan Gallery Foyer.
