Competitive scholarships for MFA students are available. The list below provides the criteria for the award.

Bloch-Heskett Award

Number of Awards: 1
Amount of each award: $700 (Average)
Term of Award Awarded in the spring and applied to bursar account
Eligibility Provides recognition for art inspired by the artistry of Eastern Europe (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Modavia, and the Ukraine). Work is to be created by BGSU MFA fine arts student and displayed in the annual MFA Thesis Exhibition. Applicants shall be full-time graduate students, who are in good standing, and earned a minimum 3.0 gpa. Selection committe shall consist of the School of Art Director and two members of the graduate faculty designated by the Director. The awards will be announced in conjunction with the annual MFA Thesis Exhibition.

Marilyn Singleton/Medici Circle Graduate Leadership Award

Number of Awards: 1
Amount of each award: $100 (Average)
Term of Award Awarded in the spring and applied to bursar account
Eligibility Awarded to one MFA or MA graduate in the School of Art that has excelled in leadership abilities. Recipient will be selected by School of Art faculty.

James R. Good Art Scholarship

Number of Awards: 1
Amount of each award: $2500 (Average)
Term of Award Awarded in the spring and applied to bursar account in the fall semester when recipient is officially registered for and attending classes
Eligibility Awarded to one MFA or MA graduate student with the highest score from the year's designated division (e.g., Two-Dimensional Studies, Three-Dimensional Studies, Digital Arts, Art History). Recipient will be selected by the School of Art tenured and tenure track graduate divisional faculty during the admissions process.
